Next time.

There will be no such drastic changes.
I’ve got this.
My story will still be as when you saw me last
when I see you next time.

Such a strange and unexplainable connection emerged from a shared space and time, even when shared in silence.

How foolish.

How silly it must seem for you to be talking and,
Looking at me while I’m looking elsewhere,
Gazing at someone else gazing at you.

How foolish it must feel for a passerby to chance upon this absurd scene of never-meeting gazes,
Perpetually unsynchronized phases.

Parallel and non-converging worlds stuck with only linear gazes.

Uneven truths.

I’m going to go now and won’t be back for awhile.

See me off.
If I ever departed before you arrived,
you, being
you, would tear down the gates of departure.
I like to think that.

I hate to think that
Truth is: Everyone is diverging away.
I’ll make the most of our limited time in this limited window of limited opportunity because

Truth is: The day we finally diverge, I probably wouldn’t notice;
I may not tear through walls to get to you.

I’ll make the most of this current urgency and awareness because
I’m going to go now and won’t be back for awhile.

Graduation.

Current month: January.
If you want to talk about perspective, graduation and finding work certainly does the job.
Time is ticking.
The countdown has always been ongoing but this time,
It’s a bit different knowing there are only four months left.

A mere one hundred and twenty days left to talk about all our plans for the future,
For me to challenge you with all the things I have to say,
And to leave you with a new sort of hope and peace you’ve yet to discover.

Time is ticking,
And I’m not even the one graduating.

…but time is so limited.

fee-fi-flo-fum:

I’ve got time.

But I don’t have the energy to use it all up.

My dear, I’ve got energy.

But I don’t have the time to use it all up.

"The second time that I am wonderstruck all over again. The second time I will try my best at prolonging what we might have, presently have, and will have."

‘Time machine’: machine in which people/objects can be transported along the time continuum.

By definition then, an ‘airplane’ is simultaneously a time/location/noun/world machine.

Step out into another world, another life.

In fact, there are many guns and ships to jump. Your artillery and that ghost fleet of an armada speaks truth enough.

If only one moment’s word could resound throughout all of history, and unmade history, for you to hold your fire and to stand your ground, then all is not lost.
